Building Rapport

Suggestions for an effective first call and any future calls:

  1. Research the company and their industry vertical to understand their specific challenges and goals. Try to understand the current processes and technology they use and how the product I am representing might best serve them.
  2. Take the time to build a relationship and rapport with the contact. Ask questions about their career path, goals, and challenges. Find common ground to build our relationship on.
  3. Be familiar with the customer stories of other customers in the same industry so I can provide examples that illustrate the value my product can provide for my customer.
